In 2020, at the height of the pandemic, Nina was approached by UNHCR and Caran d’Ache to work on a project which spotlighted three inspiring refugee stories.

As well as illustrating the campaign’s quote Everyone Can Make a Difference, Nina drew the portraits of three people: Saleema, the first ever female Turkmen refugee doctor in Pakistan; Foni, a South Sudanese refugee in Kenya working as a communications officer; Moheyman, an Iraqi refugee working as a nurse in Iran.
